Brian was educated in Allegany County, having earned the following degrees:

  • A Master of Arts in Teaching Degree from Frostburg State University
  • A Bachelor's Degree with a double major in Political Science and  Justice Studies from Frostburg State University
  • Multiple Associate's Degrees from Allegany College of Maryland

Brian has been inducted into several honor societies including the following:

  • Pi Sigma Alpha, National Political Science Honor Society
  • Pinnacle, National Honor Society of Non-Traditional Students
  • Alpha Kappa Delta, International Sociology Honor Society

At Frostburg State University, Brian was named to the Dean’s List every semester attended and graduated from a graduate program with a 4.0 GPA.
